The Lie of The “Safe Path”
The Lie of The “Safe Path”
From the moment we are born, we are told time and time again about the safe path of life, stay in school, get a job, get married, and die. This path obviously has it’s advantages, namely that you don’t have to think, but what if you want more than that… what if you want a life that your parents and grade school teachers would despise? Why don’t you just quit school, do freelance work and travel the country? Yeah of course it’s risky, but where would you rather be in 20 years: laying on a futon in your condo or laying in a king size bed next to a wife you stopped loving years ago, in a house you can’t afford with some fancy new suv that you don’t even like. (Paraphrasing Bill Burr) If you choose the latter, then go buy some nice safe GIC’s at 1%. For those who want more out of life, this is for you!
Wherever you are right now, especially if you are young and without commitment to anything (no kids, mortgage, etc.), I want you to look around and really ask yourself where you are going. Not just in school like “I’ll get an engineering degree”, no I mean where are you going to end up – will you be a game changer or will you just follow the rules? There’s one thing I need you to think about when pondering this and that is, who benefits from you taking the safe path? Getting an education, buying a mortgage, having kids too young, getting married, buying new cars, etc. Well, the one thing all of these ‘goals’ have in common is that you need to take out a loan to achieve them. And who benefits from loans, the rich… The same people who control almost all of the media that we take in… Now I’m not saying anything, but if I was saying something then I’d say that’s a little fishy. However, I will say that young men and even women should look up “MGTOW” on google, you’ll thank me later!
The safe path of life offers one thing and one thing only, safety. But as Benjamin Franklin himself once said, “They who can give up essential Liberty to obtain a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety.” Men and women who are willing to give up essential freedoms just for safety are one of the main reasons we are having such a hard time as a country right now. When you just accept how things are, you allow the system to control “how things are” and I promise you that the system will always act out of self interest, not out of your best interests! When you take your future into your hands, you are seeing your own true self worth and you are making a stand! Sure you will hit some bumps in the road, but at the end of your bumpy road is freedom, while the smooth path leads to nothing, where would you rather go?
